HiringCafe: The Latest in Job Search
What is HiringCafe?
Hey friends! A few weeks ago I stumbled upon a hidden gem - a new jobs board I'm absolutely loving: hiring.cafe. This is not a sponsored post or anything, I just wanted to share a tool that I think this community would benefit from. What I personally love about it is the clean, minimalistic look and the advanced filters. They focus primarily on remote work, eliminating the need to wade through in-office positions for those looking for WFH flexibility. Additionally, hiring.cafe shows transparent salary information - and it's not buried at the bottom of the descriptions. Just look at how sleek this UI is:
Why Users Love HiringCafe
You can see the passion that's gone into this product; it's aimed at helping job seekers connect with employers, and the response has been super positive.
Ali Mir, CEO at HiringCafe states:
"I market it as the most authentic place to find jobs - whatever those jobs may be. I can't guarantee you'll find companies you love, but I want to eventually be able to guarantee that you won't find fake and scam jobs."
HiringCafe vs. Competitors
I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking that some job sites these days seem more interested in making a quick buck than actually helping folks find work. Just take a look at how cluttered Indeed's board has gotten compared to the simplicity of cafe.hiring:
HiringCafe Background
There's a common belief that some of the greatest innovations are born when someone sets out to solve a personal issue. That's precisely what Ali conveyed when he first unveiled the site on Reddit:
"I hate job boards. I usually just apply for jobs via company websites. Before GPT, I tried creating a script to fetch jobs and structure them but results were very mediocre because every site has different structure. When I discovered GPT, I was mind blown. Especially now that GPT has native JSON output built in the API.So I sat down on a few weekends and created a spreadsheet of 14k companies who are hiring remotely. Then I used GPT API to grab listings and summarize job descriptions. After lots and lots of iterations, I was finally able to create an engine that works great. It’s available for free to job seekers."
Hiring.cafe is currently being actively maintained and improved, and the creators are constantly soliciting feedback from the community. I hope you'll find it useful!
